Air Bending
In air bending, the sheet is supported by both shoulders of the lower die but does not fully contact its inner surfaces. The punch controls the angle by moving to a calculated depth.

A deeper punch position produces a smaller angle. Since different angles can be formed using the same punch and die, air bending provides high process flexibility and is widely used for multi-product sheet metal production.
